LANDMARC AND DIO LEAD THE CHRISTMAS CHEER WITH CAROLS AT WEST TOFTS

Landmarc Support Services and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) have hosted their annual carol service at St. Mary’s Church at West Tofts, one of Britain’s finest Gothic Revival churches, raising around £600 to help support military charities and church repairs thanks to generous contributions from the congregation.

Around 350 local residents, former villagers, their families and employees old and new joined together to enjoy an evening singing along to the festive tunes of The Royal Anglian Regimental (V) band. Guests were then treated to some delicious mince pies, mulled wine, tea and coffee, provided by ESS.

The Landmarc team, led by Regimental Sergeant Major John Boisson, worked incredibly hard to clean and set up the church and marquee during the event, which were wonderfully decorated thanks to the beautiful festive flower displays provided by the Lakenheath Flower Club. These were later donated to St Leonards Court Care Home in Mundford for residents to enjoy over Christmas.

Joe Gast, regional operations manager at Landmarc, commented on the event: “It’s such a great thing to do every year, gathering together all of the local residents to join in and celebrate the joy of the festive period. It’s our way of saying thank you for their continued support throughout the year, and it’s also lovely to see families and friends gathered together at this special time.

“I’d also like to say a huge thanks to the team of people who put this together each year, it’s no mean feat but everyone is so thankful for the event and what it means.”
