• In becoming self-sufficient in timber production we have experienced huge cost savings, reduced imports, improved forestry management and enhanced military training facilities.
  • By removing any reliance on foreign imports, the in-house timber operation is helping to combat the inadvertant procurement of illegally sourced or unsustainable timber thus providing us with a higher quality of product.
  • The conservation and environmental impact of this project has exceeded even our expectations. The thinning of the trees has not only turned what was an impenetrable unusable space into a valuable training site, it has also created the ideal habitat for biodiversity. Reducing competition for light has lead to the regeneration of many varieties of trees and heathers plus the encouragement of animal habitats and animal species, notably that of the black grouse.
