Until Landmarc took on the contract to maintain ranges for the UK MoD, the majority of low level, but non-the-less critical, range maintenance was reactive to requirement and therefore could not be part of a planned maintenance spend.

The low level assets involved were frequently recorded as part of a single major asset. Often low level assets of the same type, on the same site had differing usage statistics and therefor a differing maintenance requirement.

These minor assets were often spread over a large geographic area, making monitoring and inspection a time consuming task.
