LANDMARC’S £1 MILLION COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL ENTERPRISES RECOGNISED IN NATIONAL REPORT

Landmarc’s commitment to responsible procurement and community impact has been recognised in the newly-released Buy Social Corporate Challenge Year 9 Impact Report, published today by Social Enterprise UK.

In 2024, corporate spending with social enterprises surged to a record-breaking £179 million, a 46% increase on the previous year and we’re proud to report that Landmarc contributed over £1 million to that total.

TURNING SPEND INTO SOCIAL VALUE

In the past year, Landmarc worked with a number of social enterprises that align with our values around inclusion, sustainability and community benefit.

This investment demonstrates how our procurement choices can deliver meaningful impact, supporting suppliers that reinvest their profits to create jobs, reduce waste and improve lives.

Some of the social enterprises we have partnered with include:

  • Office Odyssey, providers of our printer and scanner services, focused on increasing employment for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other barriers to work
  • Waste to Wonder, helping us sustainably reuse and redistribute unwanted office furniture to schools and charities worldwide
  • From Babies with Love, suppliers of our new parent packs, with 100% of profits supporting orphaned and abandoned children around the world

These partnerships show how we can deliver operational value while supporting important social and environmental outcomes.

A GROWING MOVEMENT FOR GOOD BUSINESS

Landmarc is one of 33 major UK businesses participating in the Buy Social Corporate Challenge, a national initiative led by Social Enterprise UK in partnership with the UK government.

Since the programme launched in 2016:

  • Over £656 million has been spent with social enterprises
  • Nearly 6,000 jobs have been created
  • Social enterprises have delivered high-quality, innovative and cost-effective services to corporates across multiple sectors

Danny Pilgrim, Commercial Director, commented, “At Landmarc, we are incredibly proud to have spent over £1 million with social enterprises last year. These partnerships bring real innovation, social value and environmental benefits to our operations and support the communities where we live and work. Being part of the Buy Social Corporate Challenge is a natural extension of our values and a key part of our social value strategy.”

As the challenge moves closer to its £1 billion target, Landmarc will continue to play its part in building a supply chain that delivers commercial results and wider social value.
