TIME OFF FOR RESERVISTS

Landmarc recognises the vital role of Britain’s Reserve Forces and the valuable contribution that Reservists make to our Defence, their communities and their civilian workplace. Wherever possible, we are flexible in granting time off to enable employees to undertake Reserve Service training. This includes employees who volunteer their time to the Cadet Forces.

VOLUNTEERING – BE THE DIFFERENCE

Here at Landmarc we are committed to delivering social value to the local communities in which we live and work. We allow employees the opportunity to request up to two days paid leave to support a local community or charity project. It’s a chance to have fun, give back to our local communities, meet new people and develop different skills.

GOLD AWARD – ARMED FORCES COVENANT

Working on the military training estate, we recognise the value and significant benefits serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. As a Forces Friendly employer, we have pledged our commitment to the UK’s Armed Forces by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. This support and commitment has also been rewarded with a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, recognising our flexibility towards employing and supporting reservists. The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge of support from businesses and charities to the military community.

X-FORCES ENTERPRISE

Landmarc is a founding corporate partner of X-Forces Enterprise, a social enterprise that is the leading organisation in the UK for enterprise in the military community. We support the organisation both financially and through mentoring and peer to peer learning opportunities and sponsor their annual SoldieringOn Awards, which recognises the inspirational people in our Armed Forces communities.

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING

Landmarc’s Community Interest Fund provides access to a pot of money each year to spend on local community initiatives. Examples of typical items funded include supporting local events, services and festivals, engaging with local stakeholders and conservation groups, and delivering small construction projects for which Landmarc donates time and/or investment.

SSAFA CORPORATE FRIENDS

In order to establish a more formal relationship with SSAFA – The Armed Forces Charity, Landmarc has joined their Corporate Friends programme, which gives us access to five networking opportunities per year with senior keynote speakers from Defence and / or Government and is an excellent opportunity for us to show our support for our Armed Forces communities through the charity.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT FORUMS

Each region is supported by an Employee Engagement Forum, consisting of volunteers from the region to discuss and elevate employee questions and issues in an alternative to the line management chain.  National Employee Engagement Forums are held twice a year where representatives from all regions and Head Office come together to be briefed on and discuss employee issues.

EMPLOYEE NETWORKS

Landmarc has a series of networks to reporesent employee groups across the business, including our StandOUT LGBTQ+ and Women’s network.

CHRISTMAS EVENT

Employees are invited to join in a celebration at Christmas time.  Events are arranged locally and a financial contribution is made by Landmarc.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER AND PRIZE DRAW

Our monthly newsletter, named Between the Lines, is distributed across the business to keep employess up to date with changes that affect the company and communicate good news stories. Included each month is the opportunity to enter a prize draw in our newsletter and internal  communications app, Landmarc Connect. An example of a typical prize could be a Fortnum and Mason hamper.
