MATERNITY LEAVE

Regardless of length of service, you are entitled to take 52 weeks’ maternity leave. If eligible by service, you will receive 3 months maternity pay equal to your normal salary and 3 months maternity pay equal to half your normal salary. You will then receive Statutory Maternity Pay for the next 13 weeks. The final 13 weeks leave is unpaid.

ADOPTION LEAVE

Employees who are a primary carer have the right to receive leave equivalent to maternity leave.

PATERNITY/PARTNERS LEAVE

Employees who have 26 weeks service by the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth (EWC) have statutory entitlement to paternity benefits. Eligible employees can apply for paternity leave of up to four weeks, taken either as one block or split into blocks of two weeks. This leave is paid at full pay. 

PARENTAL LEAVE

Employees that have one year’s service have statutory rights as a parent to take up to 18 weeks unpaid leave to look after a child under 16 or make arrangements for the child’s welfare. This leave is applicable for each child born after a certain date and can be taken up to a maximum of four weeks per year.

SHARED PARENTAL LEAVE

Employees who have 26 weeks service by the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth (EWC) / Placement have statutory entitlement to shared parental leave. Employees are eligible to apply for up to 52 weeks between both parents. Up to 39 weeks can be paid between both parents.

FLEXIBLE WORKING

We understand that there are times where employees would like a little more flexibility within their working day, eligible employees are able to request a flexible working pattern, which may include a change to hours, time or location of work so support childcare or caring responsibilities.
