We are proud to share that Landmarc has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s prestigious Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) Impact Awards, a major recognition of the outstanding work being delivered across our business.
Congratulations to Head of Soft FM, Jamie Hutch, who has been named as one of seven finalists in the ‘IWFM Armed Forces Veteran in FM’ category and to everyone involved in the delivery of Soft FM, as we are named as one of seven finalists in the ‘Positive Climate Action’ category.
The recognition reflects the significant impact we are making in both supporting the armed forces community and driving sustainability on the UK Defence Training Estate.

IWFM ARMED FORCES VETERAN IN FM
This special category, introduced to mark 25 years of the Armed Forces Covenant and the IWFM Impact Awards, recognises veterans who have made a highly impactful transition to a career in workplace and facilities management.
Jamie Hutch MBE CIWFM joined Landmarc in 2023 after a 24-year career in the Royal Logistics Corps, bringing with him strong leadership, operational discipline and a clear vision for service improvement. Since then, he has led key Soft FM initiatives, from modernising catering and retail services to embedding sustainability in procurement, delivering tangible benefits in cost, quality and customer experience.
Matt Hughes, Operations Director said, “Landmarc are proud to recognise the exceptional contribution of Jamie Hutch, our Head of Soft FM, whose professional expertise has had a significant impact on our operational delivery. Through strategic insight, innovative thinking and an unwavering commitment to excellence, he has redefined the way we deliver soft facilities services across the business.”

POSITIVE CLIMATE ACTION
Our entry focused on how Landmarc is transforming the delivery of Soft FM services across the UK Defence Training Estate. Aligned with our strategic objective to achieve net-zero carbon by 2035, the Soft FM team has worked closely with regional teams to replace over 1,000 fragmented product lines with a streamlined, sustainable solution, reducing Scope 3 emissions, cutting waste and improving safety and efficiency without increasing costs.
Key innovations include waterless mopping, low-toxicity cleaning capsules and sugarcane-based hygiene products, delivered in partnership with cleaning consultancy, Purozo.
Frontline engagement was critical to success, with site operatives involved throughout trials, training and rollout. The project has also contributed to broader cultural change, inspiring further action in water and energy efficiency in collaboration with DIO and wider industry partners.
The team’s approach demonstrates how operational delivery can play a leading role in climate action, even in complex and high-pressure defence environments.
Jamie Hutch, Head of Soft FM, commented, “This project is a great example of how frontline engagement, sustainability and operational excellence can work hand in hand. I’m incredibly proud of the team’s commitment to making real, lasting change that supports both the environment and the lived experience of our armed forces personnel.”
