EVERY ACTION MATTERS: WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK

Today, on World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we share a video featuring colleagues from across the business reading the compelling poem “I Chose to Look the Other Way” by Don Merrell. Tim Barley, Head of Health & Safety explains why the choices we make every day matter.

“This video was made during our corporate Safety First Week, a campaign dedicated to strengthening our safety culture and reminding us all that nothing matters more than keeping ourselves and each other safe. The video highlights a key message that sits at the heart of Landmarc’s approach to safety: the importance of personal responsibility. It reinforces that failing to act on unsafe situations can have serious consequences and that everyone has a role to play in maintaining a safe working environment.

Safety is not limited to the workplace – it applies to everything we do, every day. The video brings together voices from across the organisation, reflecting a shared commitment to taking ownership, challenging unsafe behaviours and looking out for one another.

Landmarc continues to prioritise a Safety First culture, with a clear focus on achieving Zero Harm and zero lost time accidents. This is supported by encouraging colleagues to take responsibility for their actions and to intervene where necessary to prevent harm.

As we mark this important day, colleagues are encouraged to take a moment to watch and reflect on the message and to continue playing their part in ensuring that everyone returns home safely.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the video.
