Landmarc has been named a finalist in the Partners in Net Zero Journey, Public Sector Award category at the 2026 PFM (Premises & Facilities Management) Awards.
The shortlist recognises the collaborative work between Landmarc, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and sustainability partner Purozo to transform Soft FM services across the UK Defence Training Estate.
Together, the organisations have embedded sustainability into day-to-day operations through a strategic redesign of cleaning and hygiene services. The initiative has introduced innovative, lower-impact products and technologies that reduce water consumption, cut waste, lower Scope 3 carbon emissions and improve resource efficiency, while maintaining operational excellence and delivering value for the customer.
The programme has already achieved significant environmental and social outcomes, including:
- Saving more than 600,000 litres of water in the last year through water-efficient cleaning systems
- Preventing 8.1 tonnes of plastic waste each year
- Eliminating more than 4,000 single-use plastic containers
- Donating the equivalent of one million litres of clean drinking water to communities in need through the Made Blue Foundation’s ‘One Litre for One Litre’ scheme
The award recognises partnerships that demonstrate innovation, measurable environmental impact and long-term commitment to achieving Net Zero within the public sector.
Jamie Hutch MBE CIWFM, Head of Soft FM at Landmarc Support Services, said, “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for this award. It recognises the commitment of our Soft FM teams and the strength of our collaboration with DIO and Purozo. Together, we’ve shown that sustainability and operational excellence go hand in hand, delivering measurable environmental improvements while continuing to provide outstanding services across the Defence Training Estate.”
The recognition builds on a successful period for Landmarc’s Soft FM team, following recent wins at the IWFM Impact Awards, Metsä Sustainability Awards and the Green Apple Environment Awards.
The winners will be announced at the PFM Awards ceremony on 4 November, following a round of judging during the summer.
