StandOUT was launched in February 2022 to provide a confidential support network for the LGBTQ+ community at Landmarc, including LGBTQ+ employees and those who are allies with brothers, sisters, children or relatives who are part of this community.
Since the network was formed, a number of meetings have been held to set specific actions against each of its five objectives, one of which is to raise awareness of the network by providing information and a better understanding of LGBTQ+ inclusion. StandOUT chair, Ellie Petty, is part of the organising committee for Salisbury Pride, so has been able to secure the Landmarc team a spot at the event to help raise awareness of the network and promote Landmarc as an inclusive employer, where diversity is valued, respected and built upon, with a team that reflects the communities we serve. Members of our team will also be on hand to discuss employment opportunities and to talk more about our services across the UK Defence Training Estate.
Ellie says, “Salisbury Pride is a fantastic, inclusive event for all ages that celebrates and provides a platform for every part of Wiltshire’s LGBTQ+ communities and its allies. There will be live entertainment, food and drink, lots of stalls and a family zone.
“We’ll also be pitching up our Landmarc gazebos, with some great activities for kids and a chance to talk to local people about the opportunities that we have available at Landmarc.
