Landmarc Support Services, the international provider of training and sustainable infrastructure solutions, were proud sponsors of Team GB at this years Armed Forces Rugby League World Cup which was held at Colchester Garrison.
The tournament saw host nation and former World Champions Great Britain face Australia, New Zealand and Serbia in a mini league format. Team GB won their first two matches but were unfortunately beat by New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Australia were victorious in the final on July 13th against New Zealand, beating them 33-22.
Of Landmarc’s sponsorship to the games, Air Commodore Andrews said, “Your offer to support the competition is a fantastic gesture and will allow us to deliver a cost neutral tournament – free at the point of delivery for the participants. That is completely in the spirit of our Sport and underpins everything we believe in.”
Martin Thomas, Solutions Development Lead for Landmarc, attended the games along with members of the Landmarc team from DIO Ops Training East. Martin said, “To be able to sponsor the team was brilliant, we support each of the combined forces on the training estate so to be able to do it here as well was the icing on the cake.”
