Elite cyclists will be jumping back in the saddle to tackle the winding Wiltshire roads as they participate in the Landmarc Cycle Wiltshire Grand Prix on Sunday, 8th May.
The race is a part of British Cycling’s Elite Road Race Series Spring Cup. Now in its third year, the challenging route continues to attract the very top professional riders in the UK.
The prestigious event will welcome 140 cyclists set to take on the challenging 110 mile route. Starting and finishing in Salisbury, the riders will tackle laps around Wilton and the surrounding villages in the penultimate race of the 2016 British Cycling Motorpoint Spring Cup series.

Starting in the Market Square the race starts with a ceremonial rollout through Salisbury before heading to Wilton for the racing start. The circuit which takes in numerous parishes, including Burcombe, Barford St Martin, Compton Chamberlayne, Fovant, Ebbesbourne Wake, Bishopstone and Broad Chalke, with riders taking on the challenging climb of Fovant Hill multiple times before heading back into Salisbury for the sprint finish.
The race is televised and will provide an incredible visual impact for fans of cycling or those who have seen bike racing on TV and will be thrilling bike fans across the country.
