As part of our ongoing ‘Be the Difference’ volunteering scheme, we’ve recently launched our 2016/2017 Community Report to highlight a selection of the UK wide community projects that our staff have supported over the last year.
The report highlights our commitment to delivering social value to the local communities in which our employees live and work, and in the last year alone we’ve invested over £69,000 into community projects and sponsorships.
Part of the community report is to celebrate the amazing work that Landmarc employees do to give back. On top of the money that we’ve invested back into communities, Landmarc employees volunteered 975 hours of their time and raised over £52,000 for good causes.
Our community work over the past twelve months has covered a spectrum of projects across the length and breadth of the country, from the creation of a new sensory play area for a primary school in Scotland through to hosting an annual Armistice Day remembrance celebration in Staffordshire.
A particular focus for us alongside our corporate sponsors has been community and military sports based projects, including the sponsorship of a cycling event in Wiltshire as well as supporting Paralympians by providing grants to two promising young athletes.
