LANDMARC EXPANDS SUPPORT TO ‘CADETS IN ENTERPRISE’ GRADUATES

Landmarc has expanded its support for X-Forces Enterprise (XFE) by extending its Guaranteed Interview Scheme for veterans, reservists and military spouses and partners, to include graduates of the Cadets in Enterprise programme.

The move provides young people with valuable opportunities to develop interview skills, strengthen their current or future CVs and better understand how to articulate and position their experience of the Cadets in Enterprise programme – an initiative that helps cadets explore how the economy functions, what enterprise means and how entrepreneurship shapes our lives.

As a founding corporate partner of X-Forces Enterprise – the UK’s leading organisation for enterprise within the Armed Forces community – Landmarc provides financial support, mentoring and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Adding support for cadets to Landmarc’s portfolio further demonstrates how large businesses can positively support and invest in the wider Armed Forces community.

Supported by Managing Director Mark Neill, the expansion recognises the valuable transferable skills that cadets develop through the Cadets in Enterprise workshops.

Landmarc Managing Director Mark Neill said:

“Service personnel often possess the qualities we value at Landmarc, and this extends to those at the earliest stages of their military journey. By broadening our Guaranteed Interview Scheme, we are ensuring that Cadets in Enterprise graduates benefit from the Landmarc pledge, supporting their confidence as the young leaders of tomorrow as they progress their future career choices.

“This represents a meaningful extension of our engagement with the veteran and service community, aligning with the direction set by the Ministry of Defence to broaden initiatives across the wider Armed Forces Community, including cadets.

“Landmarc offers a unique pathway to meaningful civilian careers and this initiative further strengthens our wholehearted commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. We’re proud to play our part in supporting the whole military family.”

Ren Kapur MBE, CEO of X-Forces Enterprise, said:

“Landmarc has long shown what it looks like when a major employer puts people and purpose into practice for the Armed Forces community. We are truly grateful that they are now extending that support to our cadets. The opportunity to learn directly from Landmarc colleagues to ask questions, build confidence and understand the world of work will make a lasting difference at a pivotal stage in these young lives.

“We thank Landmarc warmly, from everyone at XFE and on behalf of the cadets. This is big business at its best, purposeful, people-centred and long-term.”

As the trusted industry partner of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Landmarc manages and maintains the UK Defence Training Estate and provides safe and sustainable training facilities. The business has demonstrated its commitment to the military community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant and receiving a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for its support for reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.

Landmarc also sponsors the annual Armed Forces Community Awards (formerly Soldiering On Awards), and in 2024 worked with XFE to introduce the Employee Champion Award to recognise an exceptional employee who has made a significant contribution to supporting members of the Armed Forces community achieve success within civilian roles.
