Ten Landmarc volunteers refresh accommodation supporting Armed Forces personnel undergoing medical treatment.
Ten Landmarc volunteers recently joined forces with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, to redecorate three welfare flats used by serving personnel receiving medical treatment, including chemotherapy.
Over two days, colleagues from across the business rolled up their sleeves to paint, prepare and revitalise the accommodation. Their efforts helped create spaces that are not only functional, but also warm, welcoming and comfortable for the families who rely on them during challenging times.
Aimee Dalton, NSC Agent and Landmarc volunteer, said, “Working as part of a team and seeing the flat transform by the end of the day was really rewarding. It gave me a strong sense of pride knowing we had made a positive difference to the families. Even one day can make a real difference.”
The project forms part of Landmarc’s structured volunteering programme, The Landmarc Difference, which enables employees to use their time and skills to support communities and causes that matter. Initiatives like this not only deliver tangible benefits for those in need, but also bring colleagues together from across regions to contribute to something meaningful beyond their day-to-day roles.
In just two days, the team delivered refreshed flats ready to welcome service personnel, offering comfort to families during difficult periods while strengthening connections across the business.
Landmarc is incredibly proud of what was achieved and extends its thanks to SSAFA and all volunteers involved for making such a positive impact.
