NTEP TEAM COMMENDED IN DIO EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The joint Landmarc and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) National Training Estate Prime (NTEP) contract delivery team has been recognised in this year’s DIO Excellence Awards. The award was made in the category of Resilience and Rapid Response for the team’s “outstanding work in response to the COVID-19 pandemic”.

DIO Excellence Award

The DIO Excellence Awards are the pinnacle of recognition within DIO, celebrating the inspirational people who deliver for DIO and its customers. The nominations received this year were of an exceptionally high standard and the Award Panel determined this nomination worthy of formal recognition.

Col Phil Cook, Commander UK Defence Training Estate said, “The UK Defence Training Estate is on the front line of operations, providing a vital strategic resource that ensures our Armed Forces are prepared for operations worldwide. Over the last year, every single one of us has played a vital role in support of future Defence capability. This has not been easy, but the resilience and positive support of this joint team has meant that our Armed Forces have continued to train, that troops have continued to deploy safely on operations and that the Training Estate has remained operational at all times.

“Together, we have stood and continue to stand alongside other Ministry of Defence civilians, contractors, Armed Forces personnel and the police to help support our national security and ultimately the safety and wellbeing of citizens nationwide. I believe that this is what makes us worthy of an award and I extend my thanks to all those who have gone above and beyond their usual day-to-day activities to demonstrate the flexibility, knowledge and expertise that continues to enable our joint teams to succeed through this global crisis.”

Mark Neill, Landmarc Managing Director, added, “We are extremely proud of the strong partnership that has developed between Landmarc and DIO as we have all worked together as one team to overcome the challenges presented by this pandemic. From the start, our intent has always been to be agile, flexible and responsive to the challenges that the UK has faced, which means we have been able to jointly respond to all government and military demands.

“Well done and thank you for your ongoing commitment and support through what has been one of the most challenging years of our time.”
