NEW TARGETS INSTALLED AT HOLBEACH TO ENHANCE DEFENCE TRAINING

Two new repurposed marine vessel targets have been successfully delivered and installed at Holbeach Air Weapons Range (AWR).

The two new targets will significantly enhance Defence flying training for both fixed wing and rotary wing air platforms.

Landmarc Support Services (Landmarc) is calling for nominations for the Employee Champion award at the 2026 Armed Forces Community Awards at Soldiering-On, recognising individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to supporting the Armed Forces community in civilian employment. Nominees need not have served themselves; the award is open to anyone championing veterans, reservists, military spouses and their families in the workplace.

NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART URBAN FIGHTING FACILITIES OPEN AT SALISBURY PLAIN AND CATTERICK

Two brand-new urban fighting skills facilities, designed to replicate the complexity and unpredictability of modern urban operations, have officially opened on the Defence Training Estate. Located at Rollestone Camp on Salisbury Plain and Whinny Hill on Catterick Training Area, the new Skills Houses will significantly improve the training experience for troops.
