Alain Brooker Maintenance Technician based in the South West, wraps up our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week. We last heard from Alain during last year’s National Apprenticeship Week where he shared his thoughts about his apprenticeship so far. We are pleased to update you that Alain has now completed his two-year Level Three Diploma in Facilities Management and is looking forward to the opportunities it will bring.

“I have really enjoyed my Facilities Management course, it has enabled me to hone many useful skills that will stay with me for the rest of my career and I have an overwhelmingly positive opinion of the Apprenticeship Levy and the opportunities it brings.

Driven and motivated to be the best that I can

“I have surprised myself with the level of commitment and focus I have managed to give to achieve this qualification and now realise how easy it could be to trundle through a career without getting anywhere near my best. I am now even more driven and motivated to be the best that I can be and I intend to squeeze every last bit of potential out of myself.

Positive impact

“I believe this apprenticeship has had a positive impact on me and I would recommend ambitious employees to take advantage of the apprenticeships. You really do get out what you put in.”

Alain’s line manager, Jonathan Rose, Maintenance Manager, said, “I’d like to congratulate Alain on the successful completion of his apprenticeship, the value that it has brought and will continue to bring to Alain, as an individual, and to the team as a whole is immeasurable. Alain has shown drive and determination and is now well placed to take advantage of any management opportunities that become available.”
