PROTECTING THE FUTURE OF ASH TREES ON SALISBURY PLAIN

Ash Dieback, a serious fungal disease affecting ash trees across the country, has infected many of the woodlands on the Salisbury Plain Training Area. To protect the future of uninfected ash trees, Landmarc is working with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to carry out a tree-felling clearance scheme to remove infected trees.

WOOD PASTURE RESTORATION WORK IMPROVES SSSI AT FRIDAY WOODS TRAINING AREA

Our rural maintenance team in East has completed a project to open up tree cover at the Roman River Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) at Friday Woods Training Area to restore the original wood pasture structure and improve the condition of the SSSI.
GOING GREEN AND SAVING MONEY IN INVERNESS

A bright idea from Eddie Jones, General Hand at Cameron Barracks, that was born following Enviropass training has resulted in the building of a compost enclosure that has saved the region approximately £1,500 a year in disposal costs and reduced the grass/leaf waste by approximately 25%.
WILTSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST AWARDS LANDMARC FOR PROTECTING SCHEDULED ANCIENT MONUMENTS

Using innovation and forward thinking Landmarc staff, based at Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire – have achieved a ‘Highly Commended’ Corporate Green Award from The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in the category of Environmental Land Management, Conservation or Food Production.
