LEARNING TO CHALLENGE MYSELF

This week, we are celebrating the achievements of our apprentices as we mark National Apprenticeship Week. Joanne Hall, Maintenance Manager at RAF Spadeadam in Cumbria, has recently completed her two-year, Level 3 Facilities Management apprenticeship and tells us how studying for an apprenticeship has helped her develop new skills for life.

To continue this week’s focus on National Apprenticeship Week, Suzanne Mason, Project Coordinator based at Westdown Camp on Salisbury Plain shares an insight into the skills she has built whilst studying a Level Four Project Management Apprenticeship.

LEADING FROM THE FRONT

Although the number of women working in what are considered male-dominated sectors is increasing, still in 2022 the percentage of women in higher management, director and board positions is in the minority. Kirsty Pearce, Corporate Services Director at Landmarc’s head office, has been a member of the team since 2002 when the business was announced as the preferred bidder for the Vanguard Contract. Twenty years later, Kirsty has worked her way up within the business into one of the top roles.

BALANCE FOR BETTER

Gender equality is, of course, the end goal for International Women’s Day and for all that support the movement. Jenna Adams-Snowdon, Area Delivery Manager in our East region and one of our newest team members, is someone that feels passionately about this.​
